Jacksonville is Florida's Northern most major city. Just a few years ago you may have seen us hosting a little thing called The 2005 Super Bowl. This gargantuan event afforded people all over the world a brief chance to see why over a million people love to call "The First Coast" and the surrounding areas, home.

Big city excitement perfectly melded with a dash of laid back southern charm is what makes this town a perfect place to live. Jacksonville's apartment and rental housing options are plentiful with a wide variety of styles and price points. From modern loft apartments with all the major luxuries and conveniences, to charming bungalows surrounded by oak trees in one of our historic districts, the rentals options in Jacksonville are many and varied.

Opportunities for employment in the area are also diverse. Jacksonville has a burgeoning economy, known for its financial & information services, industrial distribution, and tourism industries. Not to mention, we are proud to headquarter three of the Fortune 500 companies. There are plenty of education opportunities in the area as well, such as; Jacksonville University, Florida State College, The University of North Florida, and many other technical schools.

Lifestyle points

Recreation options abound. We have the largest park system in the U.S. for biking, hiking, golf, etc. Plus, ample water ways to enjoy boating, water skiing, fishing, or a lazy day at one of our many beautiful beaches. If you are more into the arts and cultural activities, be sure you to check our local museums, such as the Cummer or the Jacksonville Museum of Modern Art, and you can always enjoy a show at one of the performing arts venues like the Florida Theater or the Times Union Center, which is home to the Jacksonville Symphony.

Tips for Getting Around Jacksonville:

  • Jacksonville is a big city but still has a small town appeal, for instance its easy to make friends and run into them all over town.
  • You will learn very quickly that there really is no need to ask how long it will take to get somewhere in town. Although Jacksonville is one of the largest cites land mass wise, generally when you ask directions to how long it will take you to get from place to place, nine times out of ten any local will tell you, "15-20 minutes" as a standard answer.
  • "JTB", "Butler", "202", and "James Turner Butler" are all the same road. Generally this is the fastest (no stop lights), and most direct route to the beach. Also the St Johns town center is right off this road which is where almost everybody and their momma goes to shop or eat.
  • We have a few musicians from the area who grew up or lived in J-ville including members from Lynyrd Skynyrd, Limp Bizkit, 38 Special, and Yellow Card to name a few, also, did we mention that we hosted a Super Bowl in 2005? I'm sure we had lots of famous people in town then too.
