I’m a UNF student without a car. How can I get around town?

Don't let a lack of a car discourage you. Jacksonville apartments offer many transportation options. Everything from walking, biking, to public transportation services can be utilized to help you travel around Jacksonville and the UNF campus.

RentJax features a variety of filtering tools to help you narrow down your Jacksonville apartment search. If your focus is on transportation, be sure to check our the “Public Transportation” and “Distance from a Location” tabs.

“Public Transportation” allows you to choose whether you would like an apartment near a specific bus stop. A majority of Jacksonville apartments are located near JTA bus stops. These buses service all over downtown Jacksonville, some running from 5:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. There is also the option to live near a JTA Skyway, an automated monorail train. Trolly systems can help you travel for your Jacksonville apartment to nearby neighborhoods and beaches.

UNF specifically has a public transportation system for students, known as the Osprey Connector. This shuttle system helps the University students commute around campus. It is also available for all guests, faculty and UNF visitors. The Osprey Connector runs seven days a week. Schedules are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the weekends. The shuttle even travels to the St. Johns Town Center. This service is fast, convenient and most importantly, free!

Many restaurants and grocery stores are within walking distance of campus or your UNF apartment. St Johns Town Center has a number of shops and in its outdoor mall that is conveniently located near campus. Chain restaurants can also be found around this area.
