The naval stations are very close to the beach which offers fun in the sun and surf. Spending the day relaxing on the beach and enjoying the waves is a great way to stay cool. About 30 minutes from Downtown Jacksonville is the IMAX Theater. Visiting the IMAX allows for indoor entertainment while keeping cool. Watch movies in intense 3D and amazing surround sound.
Downtown is home to the Art Walk, which takes place in the Hemming Plaza on the first Wednesday of every month. If you are a sports enthusiast, then Jacksonville has a lot to offer.
