Military housing in Jacksonville can be the perfect place to find a place to call home, even if it’s for a short period of time. As with anything in life, there are ups and downs. In this case there are both negatives and positives when it comes to signing a short term lease; so you can expect a little of both. Short term leases in military housing can be the perfect opportunity if you’re looking for a flexible living arrangement. Whether you’ll only be in the area for a short period of time or just don’t know quite yet what your long term plans are, a short term lease can be the perfect choice for you.

The biggest positive short term leases in Jacksonville military housing have to offer is the flexibility. Life can be messy sometimes and even the best of us can be fickle at times. If you know you’ll only be in the area for a short period of time then you don’t have to worry about getting into more than you bargained for when it comes to a living arrangement. If you have any doubts about your military housing in Jacksonville then having the option to change your mind is also always a huge plus. With a long term lease you could easily be stuck having to break it and end up paying hefty penalty fees for doing so; should you ever change your mind about living there. Many times if you’re stuck in a lease you don’t want to be in there’s an option for subleasing. However that requires a lot of work and your landlord isn’t required to agree to it. With a short term lease you usually only have to offer up 15-30 days of notice before moving out. If you're looking for extra convenience when it comes to moving in and out of an apartment, opt for a furnished apartment.

With a short term lease in Jacksonville military housing you can expect a few negatives. Remember that nothing in life is constantly sunshine and rainbows! With a short term lease since you’re not usually signing anything binding keeping you there for a long period of time it’s possible that rent could be higher in your military housing. In some cases landlords will actually charge an added monthly assessment of the place just to make sure everything is continually on the up and up. They also have to opportunity to raise the rent as they see fit since you’re not committing to living there for any significant amount of time.

Short term leases in Jacksonville military housing are perfect for those who will be leaving the area anytime soon. They can also be the right choice for those feeling ambivalent about their living situation. Military housing in Jacksonville and short term leases go perfectly together. Don’t let any of the negatives discourage you because if it’s the right situation for you than it can easily be worth any extra cost. The benefits are almost always much better than getting in stuck in a long term lease that you hate in military housing. For an added convenience if you're looking for someone else to crash with you in a 2 or 3 bedroom unit in the meantime many apartments in the area offer roommate matching. Who knows, maybe you and your roommate will get along so well you'll decide to sign a long term lease together in the future!
