If you are looking at living in one of the apartments in Jacksonville, you may be wondering what you are getting yourself into. Whether you are going to be a new Florida resident, you may have certain expectations about what to expect in the state and your new city. Even if you have been living here for years, if you haven't visited Jacksonville before, you may also have your expectations of what you are going to experience. For both new Florida residents and old, I would like to dispel some illusions and help you get a more realistic outlook on what to expect.
For future residents of Jacksonville apartments that are new to the state of Florida, the first expectation I want to address is in regards to the weather. Most non-Florida residents believe that Florida is sunny all year round, and this is simply not true. There are plenty of times where Florida is not sunny at all, and is cloudy and rainy.
When is this magical time you may ask, well it's actually in the summer. In the summer, Florida experiencers a lot of rain, particularly in the afternoon. In fact as a Florida resident, I can say that it rains every day in the summer, sometimes even all day.
The best time for weather in Florida is actually during the Fall. There is a lot more sun, and the temperature is much more comfortable and less intense. Don't be surprised if you find fellow residents at Jacksonville apartments tanning more in the fall than in the summer.
Now, what about the city of Jacksonville itself; is it all beaches, nightlife, and partying? I would have to say no. Jacksonville is actually an extremely cultured area of Florida, with lots of history to offer its residents. There are lots of museums, art galleries, landmarks, parks and gardens for residents to enjoy. That's not to say that there isn't a great night life and beautiful beaches, only that you may be surprised by all that Jacksonville has to offer.
So what else can you expect from the city of Jacksonville? Well for one thing you can expect a lot of people, as Jacksonville is the most populated city in the state of Florida. So at any of the Jacksonville apartments that you choose, I'm sure you will have a lot of neighbors.
Populated doesn't mean crowded however, as Jacksonville is spread out over a large area. So while there are plenty of people around for you to communicate with, you should never feel overburdened. More people means more people to meet, and potentially more new friends.
There is still be a lot about Florida and Jacksonville that you probably don't know, but that will have to wait until you get here.
